Our response
Design and develop Mittico, a mobile app that lets users consult auctions in real time, view data on each lot — species, weight, quality, price — and place bids digitally, even remotely. Build a direct connection between the Viareggio Fish Market and its users, ensuring transparency, traceability and an intuitive experience suited to both sector professionals and occasional buyers.
Real-time integration with the Fish Market
The technological core of Mittico is its integration with the Viareggio Fish Market’s information systems, which feeds the app with real-time data on species, weights, lots and prices. The auction display system is synchronised with the Market’s data flows, while bidding and rebidding features update instantaneously during the competitive phase. The architecture is designed to guarantee stability and high performance on smartphones and tablets.
Simplicity and legibility in operational contexts
The Mittico interface design prioritised simplicity, legibility and usability in professional environments. The app’s logical flow was structured to guide users through the key stages — lot browsing, species and quality checks, participating in the auction — with dynamic updates on prices and bid status. The UI was optimised for mobile devices, ensuring strong performance even in high-intensity operational environments.
