The goal
Provide citizens with digital tools that are easy to consult, especially in risk situations. Modernise the information system of the Tuscan municipal civil protection, moving beyond a fragmented and hard-to-navigate architecture. Give citizens and more than 165 municipalities across the Region a single, reliable and immediate tool for managing emergencies: from weather alerts to assembly points, from risk infographics to real-time push notifications.
Our response
A federated platform that brings over 165 Tuscan municipalities together into a single coherent experience, where each administration manages its own content autonomously and citizens find what they need to know about their territory in just a few taps. A mobile app designed to guide users in an emergency: interactive map, real-time alerts drawn from the Regional Functional Centre’s data, risk infographics and reliable push notifications, in a bilingual IT/FR interface that reassures before it informs.

Infographics, maps and a design that reassures
The experience was rethought starting from the citizen’s need in an emergency, but also from the goal of informing citizens to help prevent future risk situations: to find out in seconds what is happening and what to do. Hence the dedicated infographics on the behaviours to adopt in the face of risk — hydrogeological, hydraulic, snow, wind, wildfires, heatwaves, drought — for each alert code. The visual direction chosen by ANCI works with warm gradients and a welcoming atmosphere: civil protection as a service close to people, not as a distant institution.

WordPress multisite and a native app with real-time push
The portal is developed on WordPress in a multisite architecture, with a single environment for over 165 municipalities and a streamlined CMS for autonomous management. The native iOS and Android app integrates an interactive map with risk areas and assembly points, an alerts dashboard and certified real-time push notifications. Weather alerts and wildfire risk are connected in real time to data from the Regional Functional Centre. Full data migration from the legacy system, with cloud infrastructure on SCT.
